Fixed Grant Rates
Afforestation grants cover the costs of establishing a plantation including ground cultivation, plants, planting, fencing and 4 years maintenance.

The afforestation grant is available in respect of costs incurred in the establishment of a plantation. It covers the cost of planting to the establishment stage and is payable in two fixed grants as outlined above plus an allowance for fencing (maximum outlined above and below for deer fencing) payable at 1st instalment stage.
There has been little change to the level of funding, which is as a direct link to the great efforts made by Green Belt and all its staff with regard to lobbying politicians pre budget. Green Belt is currently enjoying a very healthy planting programme for 2011 and already has a strong portfolio developing for 2012.
