The impending CAP reform is likely to have a strong imapct on Ireland and its agricultural practices between now and its final announcement and implementation. How this will affect the forestry and timber industry in Ireland is still unknown, but we are constantly working to highlight the necessary attention required to elevate forestry to the level it should be in Ireland's future agricultural and climate change programmes.

@EU_Commission @EUAgri Phil Hogan recently publisehed an outline of the 9 objectives of the CAP reform. We will be speaking with Mr Hogan to ensure he continues to emphasise the great importance of forestry to Irelands sustainable reduction of CO2 and positively affecting climate change targets.
