Northern Region

The Northern Region is made up of the counties of Donegal, Leitrim, Cavan, Monaghan, Louth, North Meath and North Roscommon. A large percentage of Greenbelt's planting programme is carried out in this area. The bulk of the planting is for farmers. Green Belt sources all of the land for planting through it's network of foresters. Prices for purchased land vary from €1,300 per acre for bog land to €3,300 per acre for good quality green ground.

Five Foresters cover this region. Each forester is responsible for everything that happens in their area.

Paddy Gallagher

From Glenties - covers Donegal and North Leitrim. Paddy is responsible for the development of farms and maintenance. Paddy is also an expert on forest road building for timber extraction. Tel - 086 258 8057
